ANSI Grit Sizes

Washington Mills follows the “ANSI” guidelines for grading and sizing fused minerals.  ANSI stands for “American National Standards Institute.”

• Washington Mills has created a particle size conversion chart to assist our customers in selecting the correct grit size based on millimeters, microns, or inches.  The chart is designed to compare millimeters, microns and inches to sieve sizes and match them to the corresponding ANSI grit size.
