In the case of electronic manufacturing, our fused minerals are used as an
abrasive to etch, slice, clean and polish electrical components such as
semiconductors. Fine abrasive powders are perfect for the job because they
are extremely hard materials that work very precisely to cut and clean small
and delicate electrical components.
Silicon Carbide and Aluminum Oxide are extremely hard materials that are
excellent at slicing the silicon wafer or etching the transistors on the
surface of the silicon wafers. The better the abrasive that is used, the
less silicon that is wasted in the slicing process. There are hundreds of
products that require an excellent quality, fine grit sized abrasive for
