Analytical Testing Services

Total, free carbon

We test for total carbon using our Leco C-200 Carbon Analyzer for various products including silicon carbide. We test the free carbon using the combustion method for silicon carbide samples.

Hydrogen, chlorine

We test hydrogen using our Leco RH-404 Hydrogen Determinator. We test for chlorine levels using the pyrohydrolysis method and our UV/VIS Spectrometer.

UV/VIS Spectrophotometry

We use our Perkin-Elmer Lambda 25 UV/VIS Spectrometer for trace anaysis. This spectrometer is a true double beam operation used liquid analysis.

Moisture

We test for moisture content for various samples using a drying oven.

Loss or gain on ignition

We test LOI or GOI using a muffle furnace.

Sample Preparation

We can crush, grind and/or pulverize lab size samples of products using a jaw crusher, cone mill and a lab size pulverizer in our sample preparation lab. We also perform magnetic separation for various lab size samples in our sample preparation lab.
