Duralum® Special White
Duralum® Special White is a virgin fused white aluminum oxide. It is a friable, high purity, medium density abrasive.
Applications:
Duralum® Special White is designed for general industrial use in operations such as lapping, polishing, refractory coating for investment cast shells, decorative non-skid tile, and pressure blasting. It is used where a high purity and/or highly friable abrasive is desired.

Duralum® Special White BP
Duralum® Special White BP is a high purity virgin fused white aluminum oxide powder for use in industrial applications. Duralum® Special White BP powders are used in industrial applications where a high friable and/or high purity abrasive is desired, but where a numerically graded or micron-sized abrasive powder is not required.
Applications:
Typical uses of Duralum® Special White BP include: lapping, polishing, and in buffing cakes and compounds for ferrous and non-ferrous metal, ceramic, and stone.

Duralum® SW CA and Duralum® SW CP
Pure, clear, white aluminum oxides. The most friable aluminum oxide and due to its high purity and large crystal size, the crystals fracture comparatively swiftly, constantly exposing fresh cutting crystals to the work piece.
Applications:
These materials are widely used in precision finishing of wood, leather, rubber, glass, etc. and in the grinding of heat sensitive alloys, taking advantage of its friability and cool cutting ability.

Duralum® White RF and RF / HD
Duralum® White RF / HD is a white, fused alumina refractory grain made from high purity Bayer process alumina. Raw materials and furnacing practices are carefully controlled to ensure the highest purity and optimum crystal structure. Duralum® White RF / HD is crushed in such a manner to produce blocky grain distributions with a higher bulk density.
Applications:
Duralum® White RF / HD are used as raw materials in dense refractory products requiring high purity at elevated temperatures. These materials are also used in bonded products, as well as in the form of loose grain.

Duralum® White RF S-2
Duralum® White RF S-2 is obtained from the dust collector systems connected to the crushing and grading units. Aluminum Oxide content varies by as much ± 2.5%.

Duralum® White RF S-2 is used in general refractory applications.

Duralum® AB
Duralum® AB is an electric arc furnace product made from high purity Bayer process alumina and the product chemistry is similar to that of white aluminum oxide. Bubbles are formed from molten alumina, resulting in hollow spheres of low bulk density.
Applications:
Duralum® AB is used in the production of lightweight insulating refractories where low thermal conductivity, and high temperature properties are the prime requirements. Duralum® AB is also used effectively for loose-fill refractories.
