  • CARBOLON MA

Our CARBOLON MA is a domestically produced 90% nominal silicon carbide grain, sized 3/8" x 100 mesh. Low in nitrogen content, Carbolon MA is ideally suited for steel manufacturing.

    Electric Arc Furnace applications

CARBOLON MA is one of the most powerful deoxidizers - critical in the process of steel making - on the market, and has a very low Al content as compared to ferrosilicon, minimizing alumina buildup and maximizing energy transfer efficiency.

    Basic Oxygen Furnace applications

CARBOLON MA is the cleanest brand of SiC used as a fuel source in BOF steelmaking. It can be used as a quick go-to for raising tap temperatures, simultaneously offering a cheaper source of silicon and carbon to support chemistry.

  • CARBOLON SA

Our CARBOLON SA is a domestically produced 83% nominal silicon carbide briquette, sized at 2" x 2.5" x 1.25".
