DURALUM® ATZ II R
DURALUM® ATZ II R is a new cast, dense, fused alumina-zirconia refractory grain. DURALUM® ATZ II R is produced by fusing zirconia and alumina above 2000º C and chill casting it in a proprietary process. DURALUM® ATZ II R is a unique material; it is characterized by a higher percentage (approx. 40%) of cubic zirconia evenly distributed throughout the individual grains.
Applications:
- refractories that require a high resistance to environmental corrosion and a low coefficient of thermal expansion
- slide gates
- glass tank refractories
- applications requiring resistance to molten slags.
